Cookie Policy

Introduction

At Zombie Vapes we want our website to work well and be easy to use. This policy explains how we currently handle cookies and similar browser storage, and what data they involve.

What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers placed on your device by a website, used to remember information about your visit — like your login state or the contents of your basket.

Modern websites also commonly use similar browser storage technologies — particularly local storage — which work similarly to cookies (data stored in your browser) but aren't automatically sent to the server with every request the way cookies are.

How This Site Stores Data

Currently in use on zombievapes.co.uk

  • Your basket is stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie — it stays on your device and isn't visible to us until you check out.
  • Your login session (if you create an account) is also stored in local storage, so you stay signed in between visits on the same browser.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't currently track you across other websites.

This is a simpler setup than many online stores, which often run analytics, advertising, and platform-specific tracking cookies by default. If that changes — for example, if we add Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or switch to a cookie-based login system — we'll update this policy to reflect exactly what's in use and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Third-Party Services

When you check out, you're briefly taken to our payment provider's own secure checkout page to enter your card details. That provider may set its own cookies during payment, governed by their own privacy and cookie policies rather than ours — we don't control or have access to those.

How Do I Block Cookies?

You can block or clear cookies and local storage through your browser's privacy settings. Since we don't currently rely on cookies for core functionality, blocking them shouldn't affect your ability to browse the site — but clearing your browser's local storage will log you out and empty your basket, since that's where that information is kept.

Exact steps vary by browser — check your browser's own help documentation (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc. all have a "Privacy and security" or "Cookies and site data" settings section) for instructions specific to what you're using.
