I’m not getting any draw from my vape kit

Vaping should be simple and enjoyable—but hiccups happen. The good news is most issues are quick to fix. We’ve put together this handy troubleshooting guide covering the most common vape problems customers ask us about. Keep it bookmarked, and the next time your device plays up, you’ll be back to enjoying your vape in no time.

My vape kit isn’t working Not enough flavour from my e-liquid when I vape
I’m not getting any draw from my vape kit Spitting and/or gurgling sounds when I vape

“No draw” usually means the device isn’t detecting airflow/firing, or the airflow path/coil is blocked or flooded. Try these in order:

Quick checks (under 2 minutes)

  • Charge it first. Use a known-good cable and a 5V/1–2A plug. Look for a charging light/icon.

  • Power on / unlock. Most kits need 5 clicks to turn on and 3 clicks to unlock. If yours is auto-draw only, skip this.

  • Seat the pod/tank firmly. Remove it, wipe the contacts dry, and click it back in fully.

  • Try the fire button. If your kit has both auto-draw + button fire, press the button to see if it works that way.

Airflow & sensor fixes

  • Clear the airway. Pocket lint or a drop of liquid can block the pressure sensor.

    • Take the pod out and blow gently through the mouthpiece into a tissue to clear condensation.

    • Check/clean the air inlet holes on the device/pod with a dry cotton bud.

  • Don’t cover air holes with your fingers or lips when drawing.

  • Slow, steady inhale. Very hard/fast pulls can confuse auto-draw sensors; try a slower draw.

Coil/pod & liquid checks

  • New pod? Let it soak. If you just installed a pod/coil, wait 5–10 minutes before first use; take 2–3 light primer puffs.

  • Liquid level. Make sure e-liquid sits above the coil ports; top up/replace if low.

  • Flooded coil (gurgle, no vapour). Remove the pod/tank and blow gently through the mouthpiece into tissue to push excess liquid out of the airflow. Refit and try again.

  • Try a new coil/pod. A dud coil/pod can read “open” (no atomizer) or simply not fire on auto-draw.

Settings & compatibility

  • Wattage range. If adjustable, set within the printed range on the coil/pod; too low = no meaningful vapour.

  • Airflow ring. If fully closed, open it a little; too tight restricts activation and causes flooding.

  • Check pin/contacts. Spring pins should move freely; if stuck, gently nudge with a dry cotton bud.

Disposables / prefilled pods

  • Disposable won’t draw from new? Keep it and contact the retailer with the batch/lot; most replace DOA units.

  • Prefilled pod dead on arrival or burnt immediately? Swap the pod and contact support if it repeats.

Removable-battery mods

  • Battery orientation (+/−) correct?

  • Old cell losing voltage under load? Try a known-good battery.

When to suspect a fault (stop and seek replacement)

  • No draw on both auto-draw and button fire after all steps above.

  • Device shows “No atomizer/Short/Check atomizer” with different pods/coils.

  • Overheats, smells of burning electronics, or the USB port is wet.

Safety & upkeep

  • Keep contacts dry; don’t vape while charging unless the manual allows it.

  • Weekly: wipe contacts, check O-rings, and clear condensation.

  • Recycle used pods/coils properly (use local e-waste bins or your retailer’s takeback scheme).
