Why am i not getting enough puffs from my disposable vape kit?

Quick checks

  • Take shorter puffs. “600 puffs” is usually based on ~1-second draws. If you take 2–3 second inhales, expect ~200–300 puffs.

  • Pause between puffs (10–20s). Chain-vaping overheats the coil and wastes liquid.

  • Keep it warm, not hot. Cold batteries sag and die sooner. Don’t leave it in a hot car either.

  • Don’t block the airflow. Covering the tiny air holes forces the device to overwork and burn through liquid.

  • Watch the indicator. If there’s a light that blinks or changes colour, it usually means low battery or end-of-life.

What affects puff count (and isn’t a fault)

  • UK size limit: Disposables here are capped at 2 ml e-liquid, so realistic life is ~500–700 1-second puffs.

  • Your draw style: Longer, deeper drags = fewer total puffs.

  • Nic strength: Lower nicotine can make you puff more often, draining faster.

Signs it might be faulty

  • Fresh device tastes burnt within a few puffs.

  • Very weak vapour from the start (not just near the end).

  • Inconsistent firing or blinking immediately on first use.

If you hit any of these, keep the device and contact the retailer with the batch details—most will replace DOA/early-failure units.

Better value tips

  • If you’re running through disposables quickly, consider a prefilled pod kit (same simplicity, rechargeable) or a refillable pod kit (cheapest ongoing cost). You’ll typically get far more use per £ than with disposables.

Dispose safely

  • Don’t try to recharge a non-rechargeable disposable or pry it open. Recycle it as electrical waste or use our takeback scheme—we’ll handle it properly.

If you tell me the brand and roughly how you puff (length/number per day), I can estimate what puff count you should expect and suggest a like-for-like pod alternative.
